This animation is something I have created with my recent abundance of free time.
It is a Kinetic Typography animation (just like the Monty Python Argument Sketch animation I posted a week or two ago), only this time I have used the end sequence of Halo 3 as my audio track.
I am really happy with how this has turned out, and I believe it is definitely one of my best pieces of animation. I tried to make it as appealing to watch as I could, and put a lot of effort into every aspect, including little side-animations and nice looking graphics. I hope you enjoy.
Time taken: 30 hours-ish. Programs used: Adobe Flash CS5.5 & Adobe Photoshop CS2. Font used: Viper Nora (Free from dafont.com).
This right here, this has touched my heart. Even without the beautiful graphics and animation of the game, the music and words alone just rip into my soul. I'm gonna go cry under a rock now
Wonderful animation BTW! Definitely going into my favs!
I favorited this about a year ago, and it still gives me chills. I felt the weariness of 27 years of war on my shoulders. I try to imagine what its like, I hope to God I'll never know.
Thank you, I'm glad it connects with you in that way. I really wanted to bring across the poignancy of the final moments of Halo 3. However, I can not wait for Halo 4! If at the end of this new trilogy there is a similar epilogue, I may do some sort of follow-up to this one. Who knows. ^^
Being a Halo fan, myself, I didn't perceive Halo 3 all that bad. Sure, it had its flaws, but it was definitely a Halo game, and in no way put the series to shame. Now I'm just waiting for Halo 4. I hope it lives up to its title. And might I add, what a wonderful animation you did there! It was quite clever how you placed some texts!
